This is a staircase going from the basement to the attic and winds upward next to windows on each floor.
The railing has horizontal balusters instead of your standard vertical ones. The staircase is open meaning that you can look from the attic floor down to the first floor. This is beneficial for air flow as well as aesthetically pleasing. The treads are quarter-sawn white oak and the rest is hard maple.
